Job Description

GDIT as an exciting opportunity to support the Department of Energy as a Task Order Lead/Manager. Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Task Order Lead/Manager at GDIT. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business. As the Task Order Lead/Manager you will manage multiple IT projects of varying size, scope and complexity. You manage and be responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supervises at least 5-20 employees.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide technical, administrative, and operational management of a variety of development efforts and projects ranging from simple to complex.
  • Supervise assigned project teams to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and on budget, as well as within authorized scope.
  • Drive the development of high-level project plans, proposals, reports, and reporting.
  • Conduct planning activities and provide recommendations to client on task workload.
  • Document MS Project Schedules for Waterfall efforts and utilize JIRA or ServiceNow for Agile efforts.
  • Participate in iterative software development teams with adherence to all reporting requirements.
  • Attend and schedule customer meetings, keep and deliver meeting notes, and serve as primary client liaison for their assigned projects.
  • Coordinate the involvement of appropriate subject matter experts across the project lifecycle, as needed.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings, reports, and other major documents provided to senior level client personnel.
  • Perform quality control and ensure quality assurance of project deliverables.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience
  • Bachelors degree in a related field
  • US Citizenship
  • Scrum and PMP certification preferred, but not required
