Communications Specialist - Advisor w/ TS/SCI w poly

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Communications Specialist a typical day will include:

• Serving as a key member of the Mission Partner Engagement team with a high level of visibility and daily interaction with internal senior management, mission partners, and visitors to the office.

• Responsible for the development of communications approaches templates and products, and coordination with internal account managers, PMs and leadership.

• May travel up to 50 miles, once a month, to another building within the WMA to support a meeting or event; however, this is not a frequent occurrence

• Collaborating within and across workgroups, act independently within taskings to implement a strategic direction/vision, effectively communicate technical terms to non-technical people, and drive positive relationships with stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma and 7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

• TS/SCI with Polygraph

• Available to work during core hours Monday to Friday 09:00am to 3:00pm, some flexibility allowed

• Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

• Must possess expert written and verbal communication skills, as they will represent the front office in a variety of communication mediums, both official and unofficial,. including email, cables, telegrams and others

• Experience with multi-media creation and development

• Able to perform duties with minimal supervision and some team interaction
