General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Quality Analysis Manager.
The position will support a US Air Force program that is playing a major role in strengthening and modernizing America's Strategic Deterrent Force. GDIT will develop and deliver a digital engineering design solution which enables and integrates the program’s complete set of data, tools, and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, and makes them available to internal and appropriate external engineering and programmatic stakeholders throughout the program’s lifecycle. This effort will culminate in an abstracted, highly transportable Digital Engineering Environment (DEE) delivered to the Government, to be instantiated “virtually” on the Government’s network infrastructure, and updated during the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of weapon system development.
The Quality Manager is responsible for planning and supporting full implementation of the program’s ITIL based quality management system (QMS) which includes establishing the program-level internal audit program that will support Continual Service Improvement (CSI) and successful program assessments. The QMS will include the Program Management Plan, Quality Assurance Performance Plan, and Procedures Manual and support ISO 9001:2015–compliant processes, procedures, work instructions, templates, and other related materials.
The Quality Assurance Manager will perform the following functions:
Manages quality assurance testing and analysis activities
Authorizes release of deliverable products and services
Implements ITIL based processes and procedures
Performs issues detection and problem escalation
Plans, schedules, collects metrics, and delivers the monthly Quality Assurance Report (QAR)
Plans an annual audit schedule and coordinate its approval stakeholders
Reviews, consolidates, and posts lessons learned retrospective reports
Promotes CSI throughout the organization
Responsible for the development of following deliverables: Quality Assurance Program Plan; Software QA Plan, Program Protection Implementation Plan; Material Improvement Project Report; System Deficiency Report (SDR) Data.
First-level manager responsible for managing the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors who exercise latitude and independence in their assignments.
Manages the quality analysis process and provides leadership to supervisors to ensure the external and internal requirements are met before the products/services are delivered.
Manages the testing status and provides second-level management with regular updates.
Manages and mitigates issues with advanced solutions for minimal business impact.
Lead regular meetings to cultivate effective working relationships between cross-functional groups for the development of action plans to address quality issues.
Manages the quality assurance trainings and ensures trainings meet quality requirements.
Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews for supervisors and/or individual contributors.
SCOPE: Manages one or more small to medium sized teams focused on a few or multiple areas. Low to Medium complexity.
PMP Certification or equivalent
Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience
Familiarity with PMBOK, ISO-9001, and CMMI processes
Previous experience as a Quality Management Lead on DoD programs
