Our work depends on a UI/UX Software Developer joining our team to provide remote support for Medicare related software systems.

At GDIT, our employees are driven, resourceful, and unwavering. As a UI/UX Software Programmer supporting CMS, you will be trusted to work on human centered design process for software application development. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Taking an active role as part of an agile development team to:
    • Enhance user interfaces based on reviewer and approver roles, for an online application used to modify/update controls of daily processes, to include accepting/rejecting submission for a given date.
    • Produce and display predefined reports on demand for application
    • Interviewing stakeholders using human centered design techniques to understand how the software can be more functional, and translate that knowledge into user interface designs.
    • Create dashboards for internal team and for external customer to analyze and visualize data for research, monitoring and decision making, focusing on the usability aspects of the design.
  • Current tool is built with MicroStrategy with goal to move to Angular framework.
  • Your success will be measured through
    • Apply continuous quality improvement methodologies in an agile environment to verify, research and enhance solutions, products and processes.
    • Streamline functionality to reduce burden and enhance productivity for end users
    • Migration to a new framework
    • Increase service reliability and accelerate UI response times

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Familiarity with compliance standards such as Section 508 and industry best practices for user centered design
  • Prior experience working with Agile development teams
  • Knowledge of MicroStrategy
  • Preferred qualifications (optional)
  • Knowledge of Splunk and New Relic data to be incorporated into an operation dashboard

The likely salary range for this position is $53,600 - $80,400, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
