Job Description

Own your opportunity at GDIT and you’ll be a meaningful part of improving how agencies operate. Our work depends on an Audio Visual Specialist joining our team to support USAMRDC activities at Fort Detrick in Frederick, MD.

At GDIT, we foster a people-centric environment. As an Audio Visual Specialist, you will be trusted to support the management and production of MRDC live events at Headquarters and field locations, managing, maintaining, operating all video and photographic equipment, and providing technical support for organizational functions.

HOW AN AUDIO VISUAL SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • You will support the development of high-fidelity high-quality communications and video products for MRDC live and virtual events, enabling extended reach to MRDC stakeholders around the globe.

  • Configure and operate the video, audio, and lighting equipment used to conduct live events.

  • Serve as videographer at MRDC events for use on a variety of digital platforms.

  • Conduct studio shoots including Chroma key and sit-down interviews.

  • Plan and conduct field location shoots, serve as field producer and videographer on projects and at events.

  • Manage, maintain, and operate all video and photographic equipment. (e.g. assemble microphones, mix sound boards, coordinate graphics, and operate lighting systems).

  • Manage video recordings, digital workflows and media production systems to include logging procedures and maintaining archival footage.

  • Provide technical support for MRDC functions to ensure equipment is properly used and maintained in order to meet quality and frequency.

  • Research and recommend new technologies for video production and digital cinema.

  • Provide MS TEAMS support as required for internal and external meetings.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: AA/AS or equivalent and 2+ years of experience

  • Clearance: Active DoD Secret clearance

  • Possess active 8570.01-M baseline certification(s) Security+ CE, CND or equivalent

  • Expert experience with digital video production and audio visual equipment in a DoD environment

  • Strong planning and communications skills
