GDIT is seeking a Data Center Manager to support our EMITS Program in Wiesbaden, Germany. The Data Center Manager will be responsible for the designing, installing, managing, documenting, maintaining, and controlling configuration for several data center systems. They must implement standards, processes, controls, and discipline across the operation to deliver reliable and consistent services.

Additional Job Duties

  • Demonstrated experience managing Data Center Operations similar in size, complexity, dynamics, availability and scope to that of the contract.

  • Works alongside and across teams and departments to ensure that business and service-level expectations (SLAs, SLOs) are exceeded.

  • Demonstrated experience with system engineering in the context of large, complex infrastructure.

  • Experience in the development and management of rack elevations through a change control board.

  • Ensures processes, procedures, and documentation are developed, maintained, updated, and executed.

  • Develops advanced technical solutions for the management of software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.

  • Provide consultation on issues impacting system performance that are highly complex in nature.

  • Highly organized with proven ability to handle multiple competing priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environments,

  • Experience installing, operating, maintaining, and securing infrastructure, networking devices, network encryptors, Linux systems, Windows systems, applications, and databases.

  • Provides implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support for system hardware and software issues that are highly difficult in scope.

  • Develops implementation plans and schedules service interruptions for software installations, patching and upgrades.

  • Develops implementation plans and schedules service interruptions for hardware installations, replacements and upgrades.

  • Provides configuration management support in accordance with compliance policies and procedures to record, track, monitor, and update component configurations and changes.

  • Install, configure, maintain, and optimize software and network component for improved reliability and performance.

  • Collaborates with system engineers and application owner to design robust solutions.

  • Identifies hardware, software and services required to meet customer needs.

  • Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting systems.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Information Technology, Systems/Servers, Networking or related field and 6-8 years of experience

  • An active TS/SCI Security Clearance

  • CCNA Certification Preferred

  • Candidates must have valid DoD 8570 IAT II certification

  • Must be eligible for German TESA
