Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Business Analyst in Bethesda, MD to join our team in support of the National Institutes of Health Center for Information Technology (NIH/CIT). In this role you will be the bridge between the business problems and the technology solutions with a concentration on overseeing and improving the service delivery approach.

You’ll work closely with the Program Lead to strategize and execute program vision, develop business cases, and optimize service delivery. You’ll take the lead on meeting with customers across the NIH to gather and analyze requirements to deliver concrete business outcomes.

You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders and system owners to collect feedback and understand pain points associated with the delivery of capabilities in the ServiceNow platform, so efficiencies and improvements can be made throughout the program

Tasks and responsibilities in this role include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Monitor program deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects and tasks.

  • Create and manage requirements gathering and detailing desired business outcomes to co-create value for our stakeholders’ customers. 

  • Monitor, analyze, and track input from stakeholders to manage help manage the intake and demand management process.

  • Work with ServiceNow developers to analyze requirements and translate into tasks to realize desired outcomes, serving as liaison to customers and other stakeholder groups.  

  • Manage requirement gathering repositories, leveraging multiple tools as needed to facilitate comprehensive understanding of business needs

Required Skills:

  • BS/BA in a related field or the equivalent and a minimum of five years related experience or a MS and three years related experience

  • Experience developing cost analysis for technology services, to determine trends, ROI, and develop budgets. 

  • Project management experience, such as managing a work breakdown structure, schedule, budget, and people

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with or knowledge about NIH environment, including culture of the organization

  • Ability to apply proven analytical and problem-solving skills to facilitate business processes in the delivery of services.

  • Ability to work collaboratively on teams and individually

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
