In this role the Senior Program Manage will apply their significant experience managing software development or software operations and maintenance contracts, as well as demonstrated success in meeting resource, financial, and operational objectives. The successful candidate will have the responsibility for ensuring that all of the program activities are performed and completed in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner without compromising the quality of the performance and deliverables. Additionally, the Senior program manager will be the designated point of contact for the Contract Officer Technical Representative (COTR), and maintain close liaison with the COTR and Contracting Officer (CO).

HOW JOB TITLE WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Leads and Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area including technical work, financial and business development activities
  • Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation
  • Directs program activities to meet client and organization work objectives and serves as a liaison with clients to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Responsible for profitability and revenue growth of assigned programs
  • Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Performs business development activities, including the preparation and review of technical and cost proposals
  • Performs program financial management services, including financial analysis, budget and cost quote preparation, cost management, reconciliation, and profit enhancement
  • Coordinates and monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances
  • Develops, reviews, and approves plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents
  • Prepares and provides various reports and technical reviews to senior management as requested
  • Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards
  • Participates in special projects as required

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • The Program Manager shall have significant experience managing software development or software operations and maintenance contracts, as well as demonstrated success in meeting resource, financial, and operational objectives.
  • The PM shall have the responsibility for ensuring that all of the program activities are performed and completed in a timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner without compromising the quality of the performance and deliverables.
  • The PM shall be the official point of contact for the Contract Officer Technical Representative (COTR), and maintain close liaison with the COTR and Contracting Officer (CO).
  • The PM shall be responsible for understanding Sponsor requirements and ensuring that the requirements are being met. The PM shall be responsible for the quality, content, and prompt delivery of all task and contractual deliverables associated with this program.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • 5+ years of related Program Management experience on program of similar size, scope (similar kind of work) and complexity.
  • experience Management of software development
  • Agile Development experience desired
  • On-site in Herndon, VA with frequent local travel and occasional national travel
