With a wide range of knowledge; evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitor, tune and set standards for all aspects of a datacenter environment. Maintain a complex range of computer network components and systems. Plan and coordinate computer network initiatives and upgrades. Researches, evaluates, and recommends new technologies and processes. Design solutions to operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Provide internal consulting, technical guidance, information and support to application developers, computer operations, workstation support, company management and departmental clients.
DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred)
Experience designing and troubleshooting VMware vSphere environments.
Experience with Linux Administration (CentOS/Ubuntu, Firewalls, Remote Management, and Services)
Experience with Microsoft Windows Administration (Active Directory, WSUS, DHCP)
Experience troubleshooting multi-vendor network issues identifying network bottlenecks and other network configuration issues.
Experience with management of Storage Area Networking environments
Experience with datacenter monitoring and logging. (Agent & Agentless)
Experience with Enterprise-Level backup and restoration concepts and products.
Preferred experience with scripting (Ansible/Powershell/Bash/Python)
Preferred experience designing and troubleshooting VMware Horizon View environments.
Ability to provide written documentation on procedures and processes to be replicated by junior engineers.
Excellent communication and briefing skills; shows tact, effective listening skills and follow through.
Solid work ethic and the ability to work in a mission critical environment
Military experience preferred
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret / SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance
Lift over 35 LBS
