The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) Service Delivery Staff (SDS), an ISO 20000 certified organization, provides information technology (IT) services for the Department of Justice. The service scope ranges from enterprise level (used by approximately forty DOJ sub organizations, referred to as “Components”, such as the Drug Enforcement Agency, United States Marshals Service, etc.) to multi-component systems to single purpose built application for an office, board, or division. Other than several enterprise systems, the primary customers are the Justice Management Division (JMD), and approximately ten Senior Leadership & Management Offices (SLO/SMOs) such as the Office of the Attorney General, or Office of Solicitor General or Office of the Pardon Attorney.

Within SDS, the SDS Application Technical Services (ATS) and Collaboration and Web Services (CWS) teams are responsible for service and solution design, and the sourcing, implementation, operations and maintenance, and ongoing continuous improvement of their services.

The Collaboration & Web Services (CWS) team ensures that DOJ information is available to citizens and employees via the Internet and Intranet, CWS works closely with of Office of Public Affairs (OPA) in a fast-paced environment to support the Attorney General, other senior leadership and components across the Department.

The technology currently used; but are not limited to is Drupal, GitHub, Jekyll, PHP, HTML, CSS, Java, CGI, XML, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, putty, secureFX, secure CRT, Fireworks, Illustrator, Acrobat DC, Acrobat LiveCycle, Abby Fine Reader, Python, Node Development, and Mindbreeze.

GDIT has a future opportunity for a Sr. Web Architect / Developer.

The Senior Web Architect/Developer:
• Is experience with web technologies including Drupal, Github, PHP, HTML, CSS, Python, and Node.

• Ensures alignment of IT strategy and planning with Department goals.
• Develops policies and guidelines for customer support services and manage special projects related to the delivery of IT services.
• Plans for the installation and implementation of new systems and system upgrades.
• Leads teams to respond to customer service problems resulting from catastrophic events.
• Consults with experts to develop integrated action plans and issue technical bulletins with implementation instructions.
• Develops specifications for user instruction manuals based on customers' needs.
• Serves as technical authority for new or enhanced information systems software.
• Assists in planning, directing and coordinating the implementation and execution of approved policies, programs and services related to IT systems.
• Oversees or coordinates the preparation of testing and implementation plans.
• Oversees the migration of systems to the production environment and monitor systems for stability, accuracy and performance.
• Coordinates the common use of core software across multiple platforms and the troubleshooting procedures for related applications.
• Performs feasibility studies in order to develop information systems that meet customer requirements.
• Serves as senior expert on the application of system architecture modeling tools in the architectural planning process.
• Manages network rights and agency
