Job Description

GDIT has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer Senior WARFIGHTER INFORMATION NETWORK – TACTICAL, INCREMENT 1 (WIN-T INC1) REGIONAL HUB NODE (RHN) for Arifjan, Kuwait. Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance. Must have a CompTIA Security+ Certification, and Cisco CCNA Certification.

The FSR must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Install, Configure, and Maintain VMWare vSphere (ESXi and vCenter 6.0 or later);
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain Cisco Virtual, Branch and Aggregate routers and Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches, Cisco ASA and Palo Alto Firewalls;
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain Servers, workstations, laptops, and Virtual Machines;
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain the Operating Systems on Servers, Workstations, Laptops, and Virtual Machines (Linux, Microsoft Windows 10 and later), Microsoft Server 2012 and later);
  • Load IAVA updates, verify operation after IAVAs are loaded;
  • Perform a vulnerability scan using Tenable Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS);  Should be install, configure and update Tenable ACAS.
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain REDCOM Public Branch Exchange;
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain VOIP Communications Manager (i.e. Cisco Call Manager or REDCOM Sigma Core)
  • Install, Configure, and Maintain Network Encryption Systems (i.e. General Dynamics TACLANE);

Configure, Maintain and Manage a network using the following software:

  • Solarwinds Orion Network Configuration Manager (NCM)
  • Solarwinds Orion Network Permance Manager (NPM)
  • Cisco Security Manager (CSM)
  • Castlerock SNMPc
  • Microsoft Active Directory (AD)

Configure, Maintain and Manage a network using the following Networking Protocols:

  • Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) (Both interior and exterior)
  • Open Shortest Path First (OSPF)
  • Multilevel Communications Protocol (MLCP)
  • Voice over IP (VOIP) and Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)
  • Cisco NetFlow or OpenFlow


  • B.A./B.S. and 5 years of experience.
  • 4 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a B.A./B.S. Degree or A.A./A.S. degree and 2 years of additional work experience may be substituted for a B.A./B.S. Degree.
  • Must have a current and active Top Secret Clearance
  • CompTIA Security+ Certification
  • Cisco CCNA Certification
  • Active US Passport
  • Ability to pass CRC requirements to deploy.
