USAFRICOM is seeking a geospatial analyst and advisor with a strong technical background to support a variety of customer requirements. A successful applicant will:
Develop maps and overlays with ESRI ArcGIS and other geospatial tools as required to facilitate the visualization of data obtained from Program of Record systems.
Apply an expert knowledge of systems architecture to effectively connect geospatial tools to databases managed by partner organizations and continuously optimize performance and to ensure a good user experience.
Design, develop, and publish map layers and other products including ArcGIS dashboards and StoryMaps, working directly with the customer to understand business requirements.
Perform performance tuning for the full software stack supporting ESRI ArcGIS and other web applications.
Have general experience designing user interfaces and refining workflows to suit customer requirements.
Have experience working with and programming against ArcGIS web services and API’s.
Possess familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint web services and API’s.
Prepare concept papers, background analyses, and briefings to build support for the use of data visualization and data science techniques for internal and external audiences.
Candidate must possess a DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification and qualify for a German TESA to be eligible.
