General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a professional and highly motivated candidate for Systems Administrator position which will support systems administration related requirements for Commander Navy Installations Command (CNIC).
This position requires a high level of technical understanding along with the ability to guide and perform Authorization/Certification and Accreditations (A&A/C&A) through enforcement of standards assessments, authorization, and certification criteria. CNIC enables and sustains naval forces from the Shore by designing, developing and delivering integrated shore capabilities to the Fleet, Fighter and Family.
Experience with managing, deploying, and troubleshooting HBSS clients.
Configure, operate, and maintain JSP mandated Host Based Security System (HBSS), and on components for Windows, Solaris, and Linux systems.
Experience with HBSS HIPS signature review and verification of signature and exceptions
troubleshooting, analyze policy, and perform IPS signature review for accredited systems.
Demonstrated experience with managing and troubleshooting ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO).
Install, configure, and maintain HBSS servers and dependent systems and perform verification and troubleshooting across all HBSS modules.
Perform system administration on HBSS servers, including ePO upgrades and client product patches.
Develop HBSS NIPRNet and SIPRNet network diagrams.
Identify the various entities/sub groups of the organization’s operating domain(s).
Review existing documentation and plans, as well as new draft documentation, to ensure they accurately detail the implementation of HBSS capabilities
Ability to deploy platform specific HBSS products to the correct HBSS clients.
Ability to create and access dashboards, create queries and utilize the Servers to monitor all the HBSS clients assigned.
Develop XML policies for HIPS Firewalls, HIPS application whitelisting, AWL, HIPS exclusions, DLP exclusions, and VSE exclusions.
Basic IAT level II certs and with a preference of OS/CE certs in Windows, Linux, Cisco, McAfee, Tenable/Nessus, or Palo Alto
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience.
5+ Years of direct experience in systems administration or direct support related A&A/C&A process in support of DoD RMF/DIACAP
CISSP (and / or other advanced IA security relevant certifications) preferred
CompTIA Security+ Certification Required
Microsoft/Linux Operating System Industry Certification and/or Completed Training Program required
