Help our SOUTHCOM customer as they execute their mission helping to support our nations security.

The ideal individual hired for this role will be responsible for maintaining an organizations computer systems workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software. Will create and administer profiles and accounts and maintains systems documentation.  Tune system performance for optimal conditions. Install system-wide software, and more.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages and oversees the software builds and releases.

  • Directs the work of engineers to ensure the best practices around design and development of builds, scripts, installation procedures, and systems including source code control and issue tracking.

  • Responsible for implementing and managing systems and components through the release process in development, test, and installation.

  • Collaborates with engineering and operational staff to build appropriate test environments.

  • Creates and maintains the Release Schedule to schedule Release & Deployment dates.

  • Coordinates releases between all projects to assure efficient project resource use. Works closely with a quality assurance team to ensure final version is up to organizational standards.

  • Coordinates releases with pending service requests.

  • Maintains a release repository of lessons learned from previous releases.

  • Shift Work: Not Expected

  • Travel: Less than 10%

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in software builds and releases.

  • Experience with CMMI Level 3 process development and execution

  • Excellent project management and time-management skills

  • Ability to present technical information to non-technical management and staff

  • Focus on quality and attention to detail.

  • Strong communications skills and ability to work well with a variety of technical teams.

  • Experience in a variety of platforms that may include .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML, XML, etc…

Desired Certifications:

Education Requirements:

  • Higher Education Degree in Information Technology, Service Management, or related field; or commensurate level of experience based on position level (Associate, Journeyman, Senior, etc….).

  • Additional experience in lieu of formal education will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
