Job Description

GDIT is currently seeking a Test Engineer to provide technical support for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The Test Engineer will serve as part of a talented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency, responsible for providing support and technical advice during conceptualization, development, and implementation phases to transform requirements to working solutions.

• Create and design processes to test quality of products
• Develop and maintain test plans, procedures and reports necessary to conduct integration and test activities
• Conduct test activities, such as regression, security and stress testing to measure system performance
• Assess or generate system requirements, acceptance criteria, and generate detailed defects
• Provide support and technical advice throughout Agile sprint cycles related to testing
• Analyze test results, detect issues and track root causes
• Build automated testing systems for regular checks
• Provide detailed documentation, noting the results for all test cases and any discovered defects
• Support the efforts to deploy SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across the service area

Required Skills:
o Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
o Proven working experience as a Test Engineer, with familiarity of various testing techniques
o Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines
o Experience with scrum/agile project lifecycle approach to software development
o Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems
o Excellent troubleshooting skills, with an analytical mindset
o Excellent technical writing skills
o Effective communication and time management skills
o Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards
o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
