At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an experienced ETL Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to solve complex IT issues and provide exceptional customer service. In this role, a typical day will include:
Documented experience with ETL development and proficient with libraries and modules for AWS SDK, PostgreSQL database adapters and data analysis for the Python programming language.
Experience with Python development or equivalent object orientated language.
Familiar with AWS Serverless framework (Lambda, Step Functions)
Demonstrated development experience extracting, transforming and loading data from disparate, structured data formats into enriched, query-friendly structured data in indexed files.
Demonstrated experience with developing ETL design documentation such as source/target mapping and data dictionaries.
Demonstrated experience using task tracking and version control technology such as GitHub or JIRA
Demonstrated experience developing in a cloud environment and a firm understanding of multiple AWS services (EC2, S3, ELB, EBS, SQS, SNS, DMS, CDC)
Background in data warehouse design and dimensional modeling.
Experience with database management systems, schema design and SQL development on a variety of RDBMS platforms (Oracle, PostGres, MySQL)
Knowledge of visualization tools like (Tableau, Cognos and PowerBI)
