Our work depends on an SAP Basis Administrator joining our team to support USPS activities in Eagan, MN OR REMOTE.

The SAP Basis Administrator will be a critical member of the SAP team. The SAP Basis Administrator provides technical support on SAP Basis systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance monitoring, systems configuration, design, and implementation. Implement and support all hardware and software systems that SAP is dependent upon and interfaces with (operating systems, hardware systems, DBMS, LAN, Storage, etc.). Implements SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the system is meeting corporate needs

  • Support of day-to-day operations of SAP systems and interfaces.
  • SAP user and authorization administration; printer administration
  • Database system support, management, and administration.
  • Operating system support of SAP Systems and related interfaces.
  • Audit functions related to SAP and other IT systems.
  • Implementation of new products and solutions and application of upgrades and patches to existing installations.
  • SAP security roles and authorizations administration. Implementation of field concepts, best-practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing with user community and write technical documentation.
  • Performs work that is varied and somewhat difficult.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to provide strategic input as required.
  • Provides written project scope & updates on key projects to management.
  • Responsible for managing change control documentation and supporting requirements as needed.
  • Facilitates internal and external audit and provides supporting documentation as required.
  • Other activities as required to support the IT department or business initiatives of the company


  • Bachelor's degree in a computer-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • 7+ years of SAP Basis experience, or transferrable knowledge in systems administration.
  • 10+ years of Information Technology/Architecture experience.
  • Relational database design and client server concepts; specifically, HANA DB.
  • Solid working knowledge of hardware architecture including servers, storage, and LAN/WAN.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve team objectives.
  • Experience with Unix Administration
  • Experience with Basis Administration (customer only using SAP-HCM)
  • Experience with HANA Database Administration
  • THIS POSITION is in Eagan, MN or Remote and will be working M-F core business hours 8am-5pm, 24x7 on call support, weekend rotation supporting server & database patching

The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.

The likely salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
