Deployer Support Unit (DSU) Communications Specialist (Pandemic Response)

Our work depends on a Communications Specialist joining our team to support the Deployer Support Unit / Pandemic Response activities at the Center for Disease Control (CDC) in Atlanta, GA.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Communications Specialist supporting the CDC, you will be trusted to Develop and disseminate communications materials, products, and tools to support emergency preparedness and response for the Deployer Support Unit. In this role, you will:

  • Develop and design visually engaging products that support the DSU portfolio of work, including reports, presentations, marketing campaigns, web content, email newsletters, and more.
  • Organize complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Translate business requirements and stakeholder needs into visually engaging products.
  • Conduct requirements gathering, user interviews, concept development, and wire-framing.
  • Conduct user-centered and responsive design standards for various communication products.


  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required. A Master’s in Public Health is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience
  • Some experience with responsive design and accessibility standards for web content.
  • The selected applicant will be subject to a Government Security Investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Public Trust.
