Applications Developer

Ruby developer to support web application for a link analysis tool.


At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As an Ruby/Rails Developer supporting the customer, you will be trusted to develop and support a web application for a link analysis tool. This developer will also aid in solving complex analytical problems. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Consult with clients to develop complex user requirements,
  • Translate user requirements from a formal requirements documents into an application and /or database design,
  • Write interfaces to companion applications or databases, and
  • Provide extensive technical advice and guidance to applications developers and other members of the team.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
  • Minimum of 15 years related experience.
  • Technical Skills: Full-Stack Ruby on Rails software development, involvement in all aspects of application software development life-cycle, and experience working with legacy application conversion.
  • Security Clearance Level: Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience exhibiting customer service skills, experience with Ruby on Rails platform, and experience working in a team environment.
