GDIT is seeking a Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Manager to lead our End User Device (IT Hardware) team. The Manger will be responsible for driving strategy and continued improvements across their team while collaborating with our internal stakeholders. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Sourcing and Procurement and will have direct reports.  This team is responsible for both indirect (internal GDIT stakeholders) and direct (government customer) requests within their commodity.

**This is a Hybrid role requiring being onsite 2 days per month if a local office is available.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure all sourcing execution adheres to GDIT’s internal compliance standards and all government contracting regulatory requirements, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Drive results from our procurement teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure that GDIT continues to achieve cost savings goals, create process efficiencies, and continue to enhance our cradle to grave procurement approach.
  • Partner with our Category Management and Supply Chain operations team to manage the execution of strategic sourcing events and process improvement initiatives.  
  • Responsible for all aspects of staffing and personnel management; including coaching, mentoring, training, professional development, and compliance with policy, process, and procedures. Sr. Manager shall partner with senior leadership to improve all aspects of the supply chain department by reviewing current methodology and processes.
  • Maintain a professional relationship with suppliers while promoting company initiatives and values.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience; OR in lieu of degree, a combination of relevant experience, training and certifications will be considered.
  • 5+ years of Corporate Commercial and/or FAR Regulated Supply Chain Experience (must have a minimum of 3 years in Government Contracting)
  • Experience in conducting complex agreement negotiations with supplier executives, managing complex RFPs, developing strategic sourcing approaches, conducting total cost of ownership analyses, designing cost containment strategies, conducting market research, and performing process improvement within corporate Supply Chain Management organizations.  
  • Contractual experience, including pricing, and key terms and conditions negotiations.
  • Experience in process analysis, applying best procurement process practices, and continuous process improvement.
  • Experience in written/oral communications at all levels of the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience purchasing IT Hardware (End User Devices) is highly preferred. Examples include (but not limited to) laptops, tablets, hotspots, data cards, components, IT cables, printers, scanners, workstations, etc.
  • Background/experience in IT agreements and understanding of mitigating supply chain risk
  • Experience drafting a vision or strategic initiative and driving that initiative to execution with proven results
  • Experience managing/leading a team or project.
