CSRA State and Local Solutions LLC has an opening for the position of Solutions Architect Sr. Advisor (Ref# SASA621RS).
Work Location: Position may telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.
Job Duties: Provide business and technical architectural guidance to development teams, business groups, and customers for existing and new products and services. Develop marketing strategies, business concepts, and technical capabilities. Perform architectural analysis and design for systems spanning the enterprise architecture portfolio. Responsible for defining, designing, and implementing the full lifecycle of products and services for MFT (managed file transfer) solutions. Define a concept of operations and the procedures and tools required to enable delivery of products and services. Conduct analysis of alternatives on a variety of solutions to determine the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives. Develop and document solution approach including requirements, assumptions, constraints, and risks, cost models, labor models, reference architectures, implementation plans, deployment models, and operational objectives. Lead the maintenance of architecture guiding principles in collaboration with business stakeholders and IT executives, using recognized architecture framework (TOGAF, DoDAF, etc.). Partner with key hardware and software vendors to develop technology roadmaps and future state designs to ensure compliance with guiding principles and manage technical impact associated with key vendor roadmaps. Support planning and project prioritization processes by advising on architecture impact and current state capabilities related to project proposals and business requirements. Identify the current state of how technology is currently being used. Identify opportunities and prepare business cases for improvements. Develop Decision Analysis and Resolution (DAR) to seamlessly switch between high level strategic thinking and developing detailed technical road maps. Plan and execute proof of concept projects across multitude of technologies. Identify strategic opportunities and drive project to align with the enterprise strategy. Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into technical solutions and system designs. Work closely with other members of the technology teams to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical direction. Document and communicate architecture, estimates, and implementation plans to program stakeholders. Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies and solutions. Maintain an organization-wide view of current and future business and architecture to provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy. Support continuous improvement with creative and efficient solutions. Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices. Use of IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Sterling External Authentication Server, IBM Sterling Connect:Direct, IBM Sterling Global Mailbox, IBM Sterling Partner Engagement Manager, IBM Control Center, Docker, Kubernetes, Java, Python, Shell Scripting, Cassandra, DB2, Splunk, Amazon Web Services (AWS), UNIX/Linux, and Windows.
Requirements: This position requires a Master’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Plus 8 years of experience in the job offered or 8 years in a related occupation including IBM Consultant or related experience. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree plus 10 years of progressive experience in lieu of the required education and experience. Position requires 5 years of experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, IBM Sterling File Gateway, IBM Sterling Secure Proxy, IBM Connect:Direct, IBM Control Center, Docker, Kubernetes, Python, Shell Scripting, DB2, and Amazon Web Services. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience as per the requirements cited herein. 40hrs/week.
