Support NASA’s compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, international travel document processing and reporting requirements, and obtaining appropriate import certificates, permits, import authorizations, and clearances for items coming in to the U.S.
PLACE OF PERFORMANCE
NASA Headquarters, Office of International and Interagency Relations (OIIR), Export Control and Interagency Liaison Division (ECILD), 300 E Street SW, Washington DC 20546 with ability to telework, when required.
Assist NASA with assessing compliance with federal export-import laws and regulations and the associated NASA policies, which includes training,
Support development of policy, procedures, instructions, job aids, and training to ensure technology transfer risks are properly managed across NASA,
Process NASA export/import authorization requests and data received from NASA Field Centers and process licenses staffed to NASA from the Department of State and Department of Commerce,
Process foreign national visitor requests received from Centers,
Process NASA Headquarters foreign travel requests,
Process information release requests received from Centers, and
Assist with making jurisdiction and classification determinations.
Ability to obtain a SECRET level security clearance,
Bachelor’s degree in an analyst related discipline or technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, compliance training, or work/military experience,
Minimum of three (3) years of overall experience as an analyst,
Minimum of one (1) year experience with aeronautics and/or space systems or similar technology field,
At least three (3) years of experience with Microsoft suite of office programs,
Professional well-mannered team player; excellent social, oral and written communication skills, and
Proactive, attention-to-detail, self-driven, and able to work well among a diverse group of colleagues and managers.
Active SECRET level security clearance,
At least five (5) years of overall experience as an analyst,
At least two (2) years of experience with aeronautics and/or space systems or similar technology field,
Active, or expired (less than five years) export compliance “certification” (e.g., CUSECO, ITAR Professional, empowered official) or the equivalent combination of education, compliance training, or work/military experience, and
At least three (3) years of experience with ITAR and/or EAR Export Compliance, including performance of export compliance audits.
