GDIT is currently seeking an IT Program Manager to provide technical support for a new program that provides agency-wide Enterprise IT support. The IT Program Manager will serve in a vital program role, responsible for providing project planning for established service area initiatives and ensuring projects are completed to specification within an established timeframe and budget.
• Establish a feasible plan that achieves the goals and objectives of the project and aligns with the overall service area mission and business strategy • Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled project tasks • Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones • Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding project tasks • Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for team members required for specific project tasks • Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis to assist the government with investment decisions • Support the efforts to deploy SecDevOps, Infrastructure as Code and automation efforts across the service area
Required Skills: o Bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience o Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods o Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others o Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making o Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality o Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles o Familiarity with Agile development methodologies o Excellent presentation and communication skills o Detailed knowledge of relevant government regulations and standards o Possess an active TS/SCI security clearance, with Full-Scope Polygraph
