GENERAL SUMMARY: Leads evaluation of processes and analysis of functions in support of business information systems; works under limited supervision; performs additional duties as assigned.
Designs, develops, maintains, and recommends changes to processes in support of business information systems.
Works closely with the software development teams to understand system solutions.
Develops testing strategies to ensure deliverables meet customer requirements.
Leads and participates in highly complex projects with USPS customers, managers, end-users.
This program only accepts US citizens and/or Green Card Holders. The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years and not have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days.
Bachelors Degree in a Computer Science or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
Strong Analysis and Design skills for multi-tier architecture
Ability to analyze existing applications and provide input on existing and future application design efforts.
Interfaces and applications will be on USPS Linux DB servers and Windows server platforms for application software.
Strong communication and writing skills in English.
Business Requirements investigation and documentation experience
The resource will be required to review provided documentation and ensure clarity for the intent and direction prior to handing off to the design team.
The resource must have demonstrated experience in working with the business customer to identify business needs and rules through conversation and then be able to document the requirement in a clear fashion.
Application testing experience
Resource must have experience generating requirement test matrix and test scripts from the business requirements documents.
Resource must be able to deliver clear test scripts to development team to provide validation expectations for performance.
Resource must be able use SQL to generate data for SIT testing and for data analysis.
Resource must be able to exercise application software and architecture sufficient to prove or disprove the tests success and be able to convey the results of the test both verbally and written to the development and management staff.
Resource must be able to multi-task and test multiple release contents.
Knowledge of project management
Resource will be required to understand the plan and commitments.
Resource will identify impacts of problems with schedule when appropriate and propose corrective actions.
