As a Network Engineer, Advisor the candidate will work closely with a team of dedicated multi-disciplined professionals in supporting customer mission objectives. Youll be responsible for working with coworkers, partners, stakeholders and customer representatives to create effective solutions, providing support to organizational Development & Engineering projects to deliver next-generation technologies across a wide-range of services and emerging capabilities, culminating in the delivery of unparalleled services that enhance customer mission effectiveness.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Required:

    • Requires a highly experienced and working knowledge of information systems and networking technologies

    • Expert knowledge of Development, Engineering, Integration & Testing and Continuous Monitoring services as it relates to enterprise-level network services

    • Excellent communication skills are a must to facilitate stakeholder briefings

    • Extensive Development and Engineering experience with respect to global transport networks for mission critical services

    • Must be able to interpret specifications, troubleshoot and create resilient, reliable, cost-effective solutions that drastically enable end user outcomes to be realized

    • The ability to provide technical guidance and leadership at every opportunity to ensure program success

    • Proficient in virtualization technologies, scripting, multicast routing configurations, global transport infrastructures and services

    • Strong expertise and familiarization with implementing, configuring, troubleshooting Firewalls, VPNs, Switches, Routers

    • Strong understanding of DoD Cyber Security standards including Security Technical Implementation Guides, SCAP, Risk Management Framework

    • Strong familiarization with Boundary Security Services and technologies including but not limited to ASA’s, Palo Alto, Barracuda, Sidewinders and out of band management best practices

    • Lift over 35 LBS

  • Highly Desired:

    • Practical experience implementing and sustaining enterprise-level wireless services and solutions within the DoD

    • Practical experience implementing and sustaining Cisco Identify Services Engine

    • Practical experience implementing Commercial Solutions for Classified

    • Familiarization with DoDAF 2.0 Architectures

Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

BA/BS or equivalent experience Plus 10+ years providing critical transport and network engineering/administration services

Computer Science Degree or Computer Engineering degree is highly preferred

15+ years of combined DoD and Commercial industry IT experience is highly preferred

The preferred candidate will have one or more of the following certifications

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate

  • Cisco Certified Network Professional

  • Cisco Certified Network Associate - Wireless

  • Current 8570.01M IAM Level-2 certification required

Youll be critical to executing solutions in support of customer outcomes. Specifically, youll be:

  • Keeping up to date with the latest innovations in technology – from new technology platforms, software defined networking technologies and cutting-edge tools that allow customers and teams to capitalize on efficiencies and deliver cost savings while enabling service expansion through deliberate technology investments that yield transformational capabilities to end-users

  • Leading networking projects, supporting milestones and providing hands-on technical development, integration, and implementation

  • Leading the execution of approved technology-centric strategies while fostering partnerships, and external relationships with other strategic partners to deliver resilient and highly available solutions

Security Requirements

  • Must have a SECRET clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI (TS/SCI)
