General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking Project Manager for our Scott Air Force Base in Illinois. This candidate must have active DOD Secret clearance and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or higher is required on Day One.

  • Plan, initiate, and manage the integration of legacy Air Force maintenance systems into the G081 technical baseline

  • Serve as liaison between business stakeholder organizations and technical development organization.

  • Plan project stages and assess business implications for each stage.

  • Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met.  Manage, coordinate and facilitate all aspects of short and long-term projects including planning, scheduling, cost, time and quality commitments, risk management, and resources. 

  • Plan, estimate, and organize system integration efforts.  Coordinate activities across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless communication between the leadership and technology team.  Apply the decomposition-integration paradigm to manage complexity.

  •  Manage the implementation of complex system interfaces.  Assess and respond to the risks inherent in integration projects. 

  • Know and apply decomposition-integration techniques and focus on the business emphasis of systems integration. 

  • Implement program and project methodologies, following appropriate internal processes, tools, and templates.

Qualifications:

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance

  • BA/BS, 5+ years' experience or related project management experience

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or higher is required on Day One.

  • Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Supervises at least 25 employees
