  • Develops, organizes, conducts, and evaluates the clinical training and educational programs at the RTS-MED site or unit home stations. 

  • Fulfill expected training requirements to include, but not limited to, pre-hospital trauma life support, BLS, Basic/ACLS, and DEPMEDS. 

  • Additionally, this position will coordinate clinical training and issue of completion certification through the Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute (DMRTI). 

  • Ensure documentation in appropriate database; MTN, MODS, etc. 

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant Medical Doctrine, TTP and training requirements. 

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant hardware, software, theater specific training requirements and AMEDDC&S latest POIs.  

  • Assist with New Equipment Training (NET) clinical equipment training. Ensure appropriate documentation of training activities per the PWS.

  • May perform additional duty as the site’s Military Training Network (MTN) Program Director (PD), responsible for all aspects of the Contractor's respective MTN programs at the training site.


  • Education: Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. 

  • Required Experience:

    • Recent experience with the U.S. military as an officer or noncommissioned officer with a Health Care Specialist AOC/MOS or civilian equivalent.

    • Three years of experience in critical care/trauma/emergency medicine, or nurse with Trauma Nursing Instructor Certification.

  • Certifications:  

    • Current ACLS instructor certification, or the ability to obtain instructor certifications.

    • Current MTN Instructor in their respective discipline BLS/ACLS highly desired. 

    • Completed the American Heart Association (AHA) Core Instructor Course.
