Job Description

GDIT's OJP project is currently searching for a dynamic, talented and experienced Technical Manager to join our team. Our client is looking to mature its Azure DevOps service offering and our lead will work closely with technical and business stakeholders to define a catalog of service offerings and oversee and execute the rollout of these offerings to the organization at large. This individual will serve as a lead and primary interface between technical and client stakeholders for the client’s implementation of the Azure DevOps platform. 

Job Functions:

  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves program support deficiencies related to the Azure DevOps offering within the enterprise.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand short term and long-term goals of the program and business efforts by facilitating communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Identify and remediate risks to project timelines and scope by developing and recommending corrective actions.
  • Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple disciplines within the contract team and ensure seamless communication with federal and contracting staff.
  • Present difficult technical topics with a variety of stakeholders including OCIO senior leadership.
  • Develop policies and procedures that advance the maturity of the Azure DevOps offering.
  • Work closely with Federal leadership to identify and implement efficiencies and improvements within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Azure DevOps platform, its capabilities and usage best practices.
  • Understanding of modern software development and building a DevOps culture
  • Azure DevOps Certification
  • 6+ years of related experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification 
  • Experience with Grants Management systems

Contract Requirements:

  • Contract Requires US Citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an Agency specific Public Trust clearance

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $132,000 - $198,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
