Join GDIT, an experienced leader in Cyber Defense Operations.  We are pursuing a new opportunity and in need of a Senior Cyber Engineer at Buckley SFB, CO supporting the United States Space Force (USSF) to provide engineering and technical support for space mission assurance activities.


The Senior Cyber Engineer will provide support to the Program Manager for the full range of engineering support necessary to maintain the cyber defense systems and integrate existing/future technologies to proactively identify, protect and detect cyber threats.

  • Provide engineering support to identify the systems, software, and information to monitored; recommend thresholds and incident response measures; inform cybersecurity reporting processes and procedures.
  • Update crew materials with system configurations.
  • Develop system design and architecture requirements with supported SPOs.
  • Develop procedures to evaluate and validate new requirements.
  • Develop and support implementation of cyber defense systems. Provide recommendations to the sustainment, acquisition, and operational organizations associated with the system.
  • Analyze Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government-Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) tools/services.
  • Analyze and support engineering and architecture considerations affecting DoD IT assets.
  • Evaluate current and emerging technologies, COTS software, or GOTS software for integration.
  • Implement, configure, and tune cyber capabilities.
  • Integrate, install/deploy, and optimize the technical solutions.
  • Complete Vulnerability Scans.
  • Provide system installation and system administration support.


  • BA/BS degree, 8 years of experience
  • DOD 8570.01 Manual Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III--i.e. CISSP or equivalent
  • TS/SCI Security Clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of/experience with space mission systems
  • Ability to interface and integrate with United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) leadership, USSF operational and acquisition communities


The likely salary range for this position is $108,000 - $162,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
