General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate opportunity for a Sr. Program Manager to oversee our contracts supporting the U.S. Postal Service (USPS). As key supplier, GDIT provides a full range of IT, analytics, and management expertise to the USPS. The Sr. Program Manager oversees and manages all aspects of the programs with responsibility for program execution, staff development, contract management, financial management, and growth.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Directs all phases of the program from inception through completion. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of the program.
Ensure efficient delivery of contract capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of the contract.
Review status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops new business with the customer.
We can only accept US citizens and or Green Card Holders.
BS/BA degree in business, information systems, computer science or related field
8+ years of overall project/program management experience with at least 5 years experience managing IT programs for a government customer
ITIL Foundations certification
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be able to obtain Position of Public Trust Security clearance
requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years and not have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days
