At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Director-level individual contributor supporting Navy, you will be trusted to advocate for the needs of our most important customers. This position offers REMOTE work in the San Diego metropolitan area.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, and executes an account growth strategy in coordination with Business Unit leadership
  • Leads the identification of new business opportunities that support the account plan, Business Area growth goals, and submit targets throughout the opportunity life cycle
  • Develops, maintains, and updates the pipeline of new opportunities for assigned Group or market segment
  • Executes call plans to collect information about particular opportunities; in collaboration with technical staff, proposes and tests potential solutions; and qualifies opportunities
  • Prepares for and presents opportunities for bid decisions and pipeline reviews
  • Leads the early development of win strategies during Identification phase, prior to assignment of a Capture Manager
  • Meets with customers to understand the customer territory—relative to portfolio of deals
  • Throughout opportunity life cycle, provides insight from the customer point of view

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience leading pursuit teams in a matrixed environment
  • History of successfully engaging customers with intelligent, innovative, value-based consulting solutions
  • Proven track record of business development for big-ticket services
  • Existing relationships and the ability to create new relationships with customers and partner ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to build client loyalty and establish strong pattern of repeat sales by personally nurturing client relationships



  • Bachelors degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience; OR in lieu of Bachelors Degree, 9+ years of experience.
  • Business development experience within DOD
  • Able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance
  • Able to travel up to 25%


  • NAVWAR experience highly preferred
  • Active Secret clearance or higher
