Leverages knowledge management products such as Microsoft SharePoint and Atlassian Jira and Confluence to establish a centralized repository of knowledge that can be shared across organizations for improved collaboration and mission execution.
Provides analysis and recommendations on data structures to ensure proper availability and control of mission critical data.
Assesses data dictionaries and metadata catalogs for ideal storage of customer data for dissemination.
Audit the needs, resources and flow of knowledge within organizations and make recommendations and suggestions for improvements.
Uses Knowledge Management (KM) methodologies to harvest institutional information and document this information inc central repositories for KM use.
Acts as a customer liaison to improve efficiency in access to information and tailor platforms to meet user requirements.
Utilizes technical area competencies to assess the operational and/or technical baseline of an organization as specifically associated with its functional components.
Works with information technology professionals to provide insight and advice to senior managers and executives, concerning the strategic direction and applicability of knowledge management techniques and products.
Assumes a lead role in contributing to the development of standards and best practices surrounding the use of knowledge management techniques and applications.
Provides technical insight into the determination of technical inadequacies and/or deficiencies that affect the functional area’s ability to support/meet organizational knowledge management goals and generates technical strategies for enhanced knowledge management operations, as well as ways to improve productivity across functional areas within the organization.
Participates in technical assessments and reviews to validate the technical approach and associated work products, for knowledge management implementations.
Coordinate and cooperate with other teams to achieve shared knowledge management goals.
BS in Computer Science, or a related technology field. Experience may be substituted for education.
Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility, based on a T5 or T5R investigation.
5 years of experience in knowledge management and information technology fields.
Excellent written communication skills primarily centered around creating information summaries and white papers.
