Job Description

GDIT has an opportunity for a dynamic Agile Business Analyst candidate with some Human Centered Design (HCD) experience to join our high functioning team of analysts, designers, and developers to deliver outstanding results for our customer. The qualified applicant will become part of GDIT’s team to support the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (AO) Case Management System Office (CMSO) suite of computer and automated software applications. The CMSO has a mature Agile practice using the SAFe framework and supports a broad range of complex business systems which are instrumental to the AO mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Eliciting and capturing business requirements in an Agile software development environment.
  • Collaborate with UX designers, developers, and product owners to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and functionality.
  • Managing work using Agile Scrum & Kanban boards.
  • Decomposing Epics into Features and User Stories down to detailed functional and nonfunctional requirements.
  • Developing business & system use cases.
  • Facilitating the Team in developing acceptance criteria for user stories.
  • Ability to demonstrate product demos to the client.
  • Serving as a proxy Product Owner and/or Scrum Master.
  • Modeling process flows using tools like MS Visio.
  • Ability to put together wireframes to demonstrate complex systems and user journeys to stakeholders.
  • Able to lead JAD sessions with the team.
  • Triage enhancement requests and bug fixes from the field with product owners.
  • Documenting standard operating procedures and maintaining the release information radiator for the Team.
  • Working with Tier 3 support to troubleshoot & resolve production incidents.
  • Demonstrate excellent understanding of the way the organization works.
  • Documenting and managing business rules, risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Conduct UAT with the cross-functional business teams to ensure the system is aligned with the vision of the business teams.
  • Participate in the development and grooming of Project Backlog Stories (Requirements) with business and technology partners.
  • Negotiate, facilitate, and communicate expectations between the business stakeholders and the development team
     

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 5+ years of experience (or master’s degree plus 4+ years) in supporting the product owner and agile team, eliciting business needs, maintaining user stories in the backlog, writing, and maintaining technical documentation, modeling business processes and system requirements, architecture, and data.
  • Experience with at least one enterprise software development project within the past three years. 
  • Business Analysis – Epics/Features/User Stories/Requirements: 5+ years.
  • Software Development Lifecycle experience at all phases: 4+ years
  • Agile Experience: 2+ years
  • Experience assisting with testing, by writing acceptance criteria and confirming test cases result.
  • Experience with producing relevant and current requirements, sizing user stories correctly, and removing roadblocks prior to sprints starts.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of database design, SQL Techniques and perform database queries.
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced Agile software development environment.
  • Experience using Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence, etc.
  • Ability to develop & decompose Epics, Features, and User Stories.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be effective at communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Shown problem resolution, decision-making and analytical skills with keen attention to detail with limited supervision
  • Energetic, goal oriented, proactive, innovative, hardworking, and patient.        

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in Adobe XD, Axure, Balsamiq, Invision, UXPin, InDesign, Sketch.
  • Experience in usability testing tools.
  • Knowledge of user experience (UX) and user centered design (UCD) processes and methodology.
  • Experience with Interaction Design, interaction modeling, and mental modeling.
  • Creating user scenarios, user flow, low fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes.
  • Skills in wireframing and/or prototyping tools and methodologies.
  • Experience on UX strategy, user researcher, user interviews, surveys, and usability study. Builds personas, user journey map, empathy maps.
  • Experience on UX analysis to conduct competitive analysis, market assessments and heuristic evaluations.
  • Experience on Information Architect, taxonomies. Builds information architect, navigation schemas, search schemas and site map development.
  • Experience on web analytics and feedback data to inform infrastructure changes and design.
  • Experience on usability test - usability test script, method, collect feedback and design improvement recommendations.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $92,331 - $154,211, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
