Our work depends on a Cyber Technical Analyst joining our team to support the Intelligence Community activities at Mclearen.
At GDIT, we get work done. As a Cyber Technical Analyst supporting the Intelligence Community, you will be trusted to work in an Agile environment supporting software development teams in securing environments. In this role, a typical day will include:
Plans, prepares, and executes tests of systems to evaluate results against specifications and requirements as well as analyze/report test results.
Performs assessments of systems and networks within the network environment or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy.
Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities. Involved in the establishment of strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and supports obtaining certification and accreditation of systems.
Assists in the implementation of the required government policy
Involved in the performance of analyses to validate established security requirements and to recommend additional security requirements and safeguards.
Involved in the periodic conduct of a review of each systems audits and monitors corrective actions until all actions are closed.
Work with Information Security team to shepherd systems through the security accreditation process. This will include attending TEMS, creating documentation, and interfacing with software development teams.
Work with software development teams to identify solutions to secure their systems. This will include gaining an understanding of the basic operations of the system.
Work with DevOps Engineers to harden systems to prepare for security scans.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.
Ability to learn new security tools.
Familiarity with AWS.
TS/SCI with Poly
