GDIT is currently seeking System Administration Support to our customer in Quantico VA. In order to help achieve this goal, several web services and applications have been developed and deployed enterprise wide as a means to transform the manual into an electronic workflow. The development, test and production environment enclaves are highly virtualized and have near identical configurations. In total, there are roughly 175 VMs running a mix of CentOS Linux and Windows platforms, more than 60 SQL Server instances and application servers, and several other components that directly or indirectly support the management and support of the enclaves. The selected candidate will provide day-to-day system administration on Windows 2016 and CentOS 8 technologies to include application deployment and monitoring. Responsibilities also include responding to customer technical assistance questions and troubleshooting, working as needed with the government customer support team, development staff, and external service providers to resolve user and system problems. Candidates must possess an Active Top Secret clearance.Required Skills:
Linux is a must have, with scripting experience expected (e.g., shell, perl, python, etc.). CentOS 8.x environment a plus.

BS or equivalent + 4-6 years of relevant experience
Preferred Skills include the following:
Working in MS Windows and Linux system administration
Familiarity with SQL and database operations
Working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent
Experience with scripting and automation tools
Can work independently on selected tasks and projects as assigned
Ensure platform stability, availability and reliability of the Systems implemented into the production environment
Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, by telephone and in writing
Ability to accomplish tasks on time and with a high level of attention to detail
Highly motivated, a self-starter and be capable of working independently most times and with very minimal direction
Excellent follow-up and follow-thru habits
Ability to understand and troubleshoot technical problems
Considerable experience in systems administration functions
Provide Baleen Sweep and LDS hosted application support
