As an Administrative Assistant II, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • This position is an administrative position and responsibilities include: terminating clearances, unterm (reactivate) clearances, and update contract numbers and organizational strings for active clearances.

  • Candidate is responsible for providing guidance to customers, analyzing problems, providing recommendations to the Business Manager for resolution, implementing solutions, and following up with customer as needed.

  • The majority of the work performed is behind the scenes with limited customer facing to prevent work interruption and maximize productivity. Majority of communication is via email and phone.

  • Candidate must have professional verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate complex information to personnel of all levels across the Sponsor and it's external customer base.

  • Candidate must have the patience and skill to clearly define a problem at the level appropriate to the audience and provide the steps to resolve.

  • The work does not require lifting of any amount of weight or standing on their feet for an extended period. T

  • ravel to other buildings outside of the Chantilly area are very infrequent, if at all required.


  • HS Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph

  • A typical 5- day workweek is expected but specific reporting hours are flexible, arrival time no later than 0900 hours; no extended hours or weekend work

  • Excellent verbal/ written skills required for correspondence; the AA will be expected to operate with minimal direction and a level of autonomy while interacting closely with teammates to meet office goals

  • Proficient Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint

  • The position is on customer site
