Our work depends on a Sr. Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR) Integration Architect joining our team to support Federal EHR HIT Modernization program activities.  This a remoted-based role. Candidate must live in the U.S.

At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Cerner Electronic Health Records (EHR) Integration Architect supporting Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) modernization activities, a typical day in this role will include:

  • Coordinating directly with business users and analysts to best understand and analyze business specifications and processes
  • Analyzing requirements and communicating to stakeholders and project leads as new requirements emerge or are identified
  • Creating environment strategy (Build/Test/Production/etc. domains) and addressing cross-solution dependencies
  • Supporting Training and Testing teams by triaging testing and go-live issues for speedy resolution
  • Leading integration strategy and accountability for highly complex multi-site client programs
  • Establishing integration performance metrics and recommending impact strategies
  • Functioning as the single point of contact for cross-organizational escalations to drive internal and client organizational initiatives
     

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, or training, or HIT (Healthcare Information Technology) work experience
  • 8+ years of experience with 4+ years of Health Systems implementation experience
  • Must have experience working with large complex integrated delivery network deployment of Cerner EHR (highly desired) or equivalent.
  • Ability to work at the Enterprise level, working and coordinating efforts across numerous resources, sub-contractors and stakeholders
  • The successful candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance.
  • Ability to travel

PREFERRED:

  • Experience working on large Federal healthcare projects is highly desired.
  • Experience with hospital based clinical, financial and administrative data.
  • Experience working with Cerner CareAware device interoperability platform.
  • Experience with health information exchange (HIE) platforms.
  • Experience with hospital based clinical, financial and administrative data and ancillary systems such as Pharmacy, Radiology & Laboratory Information Systems
  • Familiarity with the various care settings and their associated workflows (acute, ambulatory, residential, home/virtual health, etc.).
  • Experience with facilitating and leading detailed interoperability implementation discussions with clients.
  • Knowledge of HITSP, FHIR, DICOM, open standards and standard coded terminologies (LOINC, SNOMED, RxNorm, NCPDP, etc) or terminology services.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply.

Salary and Benefit Information

The likely salary range for this position is $106,371 - $177,632, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
