For the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), GDIT provides enterprise IT services for DHS’s biometric identity management system (IDENT) and the Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) to store, match, share, and analyze biometric and biographic data in support of DHS’s strategic mission. GDIT’s O&M services support break-fix of current OBIM functional capabilities, as well as security remediation activities and developmental engineering (such as prototyping new code or configurations of OBIM functionality). GDIT is looking for a SharePoint Engineer/Manager to lead and manage the programs SharePoint team and support services. The successful incumbent will provide and manage SharePoint technical support; participate in planning, designing, and deploying SharePoint solutions to meet the evolving customer requirements; manage systems policies and documentation, including backup strategies; develop and administer schedule and performance requirements; advise staff and customer on scheduling/delivery matters and on resolving technical problems; and identify promising technologies or other opportunities to enhance or optimize business or system operations or capabilities, and assist in developing related strategies for adoption.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leads and manages SharePoint team and individual staff performance, offering coaching/mentorship, training, and inclusion in program operations
- Manages all aspects of the SharePoint environment to include design, configuration, testing, operation, and problem tracking and management
- Manages development and maintenance of document libraries, standard operating procedures, and technical design documents
- Participates in customer engagements to analyze, design, and document SharePoint solutions or opportunities suited to specific business needs and processes
- Ensures customer expectations, objectives, and requirements are met or exceeded
- Advances trusted-advisor relationship with customer

Required Skills / Qualifications:
- U.S. citizenship
- DHS HQ EOD required to start; must be able to obtain DHS HQ Final Suitability
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience) and 5+ years of experience
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- Demonstrated success in customer service and service delivery
- Understanding of SharePoint 2016 with the ability to gather requirements and manage solutions
- Strong project/task management skills
- Strong skills in communication, technical writing and oral presentation, analysis, and problem-solving
- Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and able to multi-task.

Desired Skills / Qualifications:
- Degree (Masters preferred) in computer engineering, computer science, information systems, or related field of study
- 15+ yrs of relevant experience, including 5+ years leading technical staff and managing technical delivery
- Experience with SharePoint admin/developer roles and skills
- Experience leading a multidisciplinary team
- Experience supporting Federal Government IT programs
- Ability to track issues, projects, deadlines in JIRA
- Familiarity with the Department of Homeland Security, specifically OBIM
- Experience with large scale, enterprise IT O&M, technologies, and programs
- Certifications: Scrum Master, Agile, ITIL Foundations v3 or v4
