The Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) F-35 IT program support contract provides knowledge-based, information assurance and cybersecurity IT services to the F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office (JPO). Our services include program management, enterprise performance management, enterprise architecture, implementation of emerging capabilities and requirements, life cycle management, operations & maintenance, enterprise data management, service desk support and IT training. 

We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Systems Engineer with extensive network experience to assist in the operations of our organization. The Senior Systems Engineers responsibilities include improving the current IT infrastructure, optimizing business operations, and setting the direction and approach for integrating information applications and programs. The Senior Systems Engineer is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organizations business and technology activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating internal functions, business development strategies, and IT processes and suggesting improvements.

  • Creating business architecture models to reflect the organizations strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals.

  • Evaluating systems engineering and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.

  • Suggesting ideas to reduce costs in IT and business leadership.

  • Providing business architecture and systems processing guidance.

  • Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organizations goals.

  • Creating methods for compliance architecture, such as data storage, metadata management, and change control.

  • Determining and implementing build versus buy strategies, mentor personnel, and views of the overall business strategy.

Education Required: BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related IT discipline. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Eight (8) years of related experience or four (4) years of related experience with an AA/AS degree

Experience Required:

  • A minimum 8 years of experience in system design, development, and integration of all system elements required to provide an integrated IT solution.

  • A minimum 2 years of experience in technical, analytical, and project management roles.

  • Experience in requirements definition, system design development, and documentation.

  • Experience performing logical and physical system design and reviews and prepares system documents and specifications.

  • Experience conducting technical research on system upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with system; preparing reports, studies and documentation.

  • Experience in modeling and graphic representations.

  • Familiarity with DoDAF & other Architecture models.

  • Familiarity with DOD network policy (especially circuit management) would be helpful.

  • IAT Level II baseline certification in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program. CompTIA Sec+ or equivalent.
     

Clearance Level: Secret clearance based upon a SSBI or SSBI-PR completed within the past five years
