GDIT is seeking a professional, energetic, and multi-talented Courseware Developer /Instructional Systems Designer to join the ARMA Team under the Special Warfare Technology Integration and Support Center (SW TISC) contract. As part of a small, specialized team under the guidance of a Special Tactics (ST) / Special Warfare (SW) Subject Matter Expert (SME), the selected individual will be responsible for developing courseware and delivering multimedia training that enables ST/SW Operators use of SW TISC developed capabilities to execute their missions.

You will create new course curriculum, modify existing courseware, and interpret  Plans of Instruction in conjunction with teammates (ST/SW SME, Tactical Communications SME, and Instructional Design/Digital Content Creator), along with local ST/SW Operators to create best-of-breed products. You will provide discussion topics and training to ST/SW operators and represent GDIT/ARMA and Air Force Special Operations Command for capability and tactics, techniques, and procedure developed under this contract.

You will have the opportunity to travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations to work alongside our nations silent warriors to understand their training needs and deliver instructor-led training in ST/SW training environments.

You will exploit information technology capabilities to transform your developed courseware into multimedia formats.  You will populate products into a specialized cloud-based ST/SW Learning Management System developed by some of your GDIT/ARMA teammates to disperse the training globally, meeting the urgent needs of ST/SW operators when you can’t be on-site to deliver.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven expertise in the following:

    • Developing, editing, and creating multimedia resources that combine text with sounds, graphics, video, and other forms of media to support Special Tactics / Special Warfare training events.

    • Post-production video editing including transitions, cuts, simple animation, audio synching, and adding music.

    • Enthusiastic communications with impeccable attention to detail to the quality of product you design and execute, to provide a best-in-class client experience.

    • Independent thought leader with extreme accountability around deadline management. Your clients depend on you to enable ST/SW warfighting capabilities

    • History successfully integrating with technical, operational, and multi-disciplinary teams to produced desired outcomes.

    • Instructional Systems Design and digital content creation with the ability to tailor to target specific user communities.

  • Basic Qualifications:

    • Professional Production and Post-Production video editing experience

    • Experience in graphic design, front end development, and design theory

    • Knowledge of computer programs used to create multimedia products

    • Creativity and technical proficiency…be able to think outside the box

    • Succinct communication skills…be able to say what needs to be said without a lot of words

    • Time Management skills…able to prioritize task and work with quick turnaround times

    • Flexibility…able to work in a dynamic fluid environment with the ability to adjust to meet the needs of the St/SW warfighters.

    • Experience in multimedia studies or web development


  • 10+ years of demonstrable progressive multimedia and course development  experience. 

  • Must have a Secret Clearance to begin work and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a combination of certifications and training accompanied by additional years of experience to compliment the training
