Systems Administrator/Help Desk - Hohenfels, Germany - Minimum Top Secret Clearance required, with the ability to obtain SCI.
The Systems Admin will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems over different networks. They will maintain the integrity and security of systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts.
Maintains system documentation. Interacts with users, other administrators, and external technical support services.
Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.
Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.
Provides advice and training to end-users.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Strong customer service skills. Strong work ethic.
Assist with and facilitate Video Teleconferences when required, assist with the management of Smartphones (such as iPhones) and complete RMF/DISA/STIG/SCAP scanning procedures
Position may require working over the weekend when requested by the customer.
Position may involve lifting heavy objects, repetitive actions and/or sitting for long periods of time. Participates in special projects as required. Other duties as assigned.
Active Top Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
Ability to obtain TESA designation
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.
5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.
Strong Windows 10 desktop support skills. Strong imaging skills. Familiar with imaging tools (such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit). Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills. Intermediate understanding of Active Directory, create user accounts, computer objects, etc. Intermediate understanding of distribution lists, security groups, nested groups. Intermediate understanding of network troubleshooting: Ping, ipconfig, tracert.
Must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire.
Be DOD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant. (Security +CE or above).
Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.
A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.
Must possess a US security clearance at the TS level and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.
