Systems Administrator/Help Desk - Hohenfels, Germany - Minimum Top Secret Clearance required, with the ability to obtain SCI.

The Systems Admin will be responsible for managing the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems over different networks. They will maintain the integrity and security of systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts.

Additional Duties

  • Maintains system documentation. Interacts with users, other administrators, and external technical support services.

  • Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.

  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.

  • Develops and implements testing strategies and document results.

  • Provides advice and training to end-users.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned. Strong customer service skills. Strong work ethic.

  • Assist with and facilitate Video Teleconferences when required, assist with the management of Smartphones (such as iPhones) and complete RMF/DISA/STIG/SCAP scanning procedures

  • Position may require working over the weekend when requested by the customer.

  • Position may involve lifting heavy objects, repetitive actions and/or sitting for long periods of time. Participates in special projects as required. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret level security clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI

  • Ability to obtain TESA designation

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience.

  • 5 years of directly related experience in systems administration and analysis.

  • Strong Windows 10 desktop support skills. Strong imaging skills. Familiar with imaging tools (such as Microsoft Deployment Toolkit). Strong hardware/software troubleshooting skills. Intermediate understanding of Active Directory, create user accounts, computer objects, etc. Intermediate understanding of distribution lists, security groups, nested groups. Intermediate understanding of network troubleshooting: Ping, ipconfig, tracert.

  • Must obtain ITIL Foundation certification within 90 days of hire.

  • Be DOD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant. (Security +CE or above).

  • Must obtain a computing environment certification within 6 months of hire.

TESA requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years of recent specialized experience, OR; An associate's degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; A major certification plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR; 11 years of recent specialized experience.

  • Must possess a US security clearance at the TS level and be eligible to obtain a TS/SCI level clearance.
