The User Training and Engagement Manager is responsible for designing and establishing user based training for enterprise-wide classified and unclassified information systems (IS). These systems will help to improve quality and integrity of programs and information in order to enhance the capacity of end users to advance the mission. The Manager is also responsible for ensuring mission requirements are understood and documented for development. Effective working relationships with internal and external users, stakeholders will be crucial in determining success. The Manager oversees a team who organizes, prepares, and conducts complex training and educational programs for a Federal Government client.
Bachelor’s degree Engineering, Computer Science, IT related discipline
10+ years of relevant experience
5+ years of management experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated experience leading various teams in a scaled agile environment utilizing a modern DevOps approach to deliver value to the customer
Experience working with stakeholders, suppliers, solution train
Self-managed, strong self-organization skills, and eager to contribute
Eager to explore new technologies, and develop new skills to advance your team
Challenges the status quo, hungry to explore, evaluate, and understand new technologies, and wish to share insights and mentor your team
Experience working with federal government clients, subcontractors and stakeholders
Engages with users and Stakeholders to understand their missions, needs, and vision to build a relationship of trust
Assists in identifying the needs of internal and external customers and addresses their concerns
Performs duties with opportunity to exercise initiative, independent judgement and discretion under minimal supervision.
Provides management oversight:
Ensures team is working cross functionally with user groups to ensure mission needs are understood for developing end-to-end mission solutions
Oversees the operations of the UT&E team to ensure user engagement and training occur regularly and follow the Agile process.
Ensures access to training materials is maintained and training is tailored to customer tradecraft
Ensures continuous user engagement, acceptance and adoption of solution capabilities
Ensures classroom based training occurs as directed by the government
Ensures a mechanism for user feedback and collaboration is created
Ensure updates to training materials occurs with each release
Ensures onsite training is provided to the government
Ensures Intellipedia site is created and maintained
Ensures user acceptance criteria are accurately created and delivered
Communicate daily regarding progress with team members
Recruits and develops the technical talent required to support a complex enterprise environment in support of the mission.
Proactively work with program management team to ensure that appropriate staffing resources are assigned, put in place, and effectively utilized at the appropriate time
Provides customer on-site test support
Coordinate with other groups to develop schedules, prepare agendas/briefing slides, and prepare/distribute meeting minutes
Engages in concept planning:
Provide input into the design, re-design and development of training curriculums
Assist with the planning, development, and execution of training curriculums
Assist in the planning, preparation, and conduct of training for end users
Assist with designing and evaluating new features and capabilities, works with Agile scrum teams on design artifacts, development, and training documents
Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly
