Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) and be a part of the team of men and women that solve some of the world’s most complex technical challenges. We are searching for a Senior Warfare Analyst to join the team.

Senior Warfare Analyst will provide support to the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center Headquarters (NSMWDC) in San Diego, CA by providing subject matter expert (SME) advice and assistance in the areas of Advanced Tactical Training (ATT), Operational Support, tactical and operational-level doctrine review and writing, capability analysis, assessments and experimentation.

Senior Warfare Analyst will:

Support Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) through the following efforts:

- Assist SWATT Lead Planner and Warfare Leads in planning, execution, and assessment

- Assist in Exercise Control Center (ECC) configuration(s)

- Be familiar with Live/Virtual/Constructive (LVC) Training and requirements

- Perform post mission analysis of various warfare areas stimulated in SWATT

- Draft point papers/presentations of SWATT Analysis

- Perform Battle Watch Captain duties during SWATT execution

Work with the Navy and joint military operations, planning, and philosophy of SUW, ASW, AAW, AMW, MIW, BMD and the Distributed Lethality construct of warfare.

Ensure technology meets the operational needs of the warfighter, including strategies to support warfighter system interoperability in a joint theater of operations.

Work with and gain an understanding in the current and intended future employment of weapons, sensors, and combat systems.

Work with Combatant Commanders, Commander Pacific Fleet (CPF), Commander Naval Surface Forces Pacific (CNSP), Commander Naval Surface Forces Atlantic (CNSL), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS), Numbered Fleets and other Navy and Joint organizations pertaining to SUW, ASW, AAW, AMW, MIW and BMD mission area requirements.

Work with computer simulations and analytical methodology, be familiar with exercise and experiment architecture, and understand Fleet operations for integrating Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTP and technology into mission execution.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred
  • 15+ years of experience in Navy Surface Warfare
  • Surface Warfare Warfare Tactics Instructor (WTI) qualification a plus (not required)

  • Some travel may be required, approximately 5-15%
