**Until COVID restrictions are fully lifted, this role will partially on-site, with flexible hours. Once restrictions are lifted, this role will be fully on-site.**

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Senior Security Officer supporting special programs, you will be trusted to provide multi-disciplined security support for Special Access Programs and ensure mission success through analysis and management of the security program. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Engagement with the Defense Security team and program leadership within the Program Management Office
  • Manage and execute all aspects of the Personnel Security program in compliance with program specific guidelines
  • Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, DCID, ICD, and SAP policies and procedures
  • Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral data in support of program and client mission objectives
  • Provide day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems
  • Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related business discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, professional training or work experience, plus five (5) years minimum related experience in facility or industrial security administration, preferably in the government contracting industry; OR nine (9) years related experience in lieu of the degree;
  • Comsec Certification and/or operational knowledge of loading and updating equipment;
  • Must possess an active Top Secret clearance;
  • Proficient in the use of government maintained security systems such as DISS, NISS, eMASS, etc.

WOULD ALSO BE NICE IF YOU HAD:

  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) and/or Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) preferred
