GDIT is actively seeking a Contracts, Senior Manager to support our Homeland Security & Telecom Sector.
In this role, the ideal candidate will:
Oversee the contracts administration function of the Telecommunication Support Services Business Area within the Homeland Security and Telecommunications Sector.
Be responsible for personnel administration issues (i.e. performance goals, evaluation and training).
Assist in the development and submission of new business proposals and change proposals to existing contracts.
Review contractual documents to ensure adherence to company policy, commercial & government specifications and requirements.
Respond to inquiries regarding contract obligations and revisions.
Manage the negotiation and administration of assigned contracts, ensuring contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions, with specific duties that include:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Negotiates contracts, including price, terms and conditions, and reviews contractual documents for legal sufficiency prior to execution.
Ensures internal contractual compliance with relevant terms and conditions and compliance with designated management objectives.
Serves as point of contact with internal departments concerning specific contract questions, issues, and problems.
Reviews requests for proposals and prepares proposals.
Formulates and negotiates contract or subcontract proposal modifications. Reviews and negotiates teaming agreements.
Interprets contractual work requirements and obligations.
Makes recommendations regarding contracts implementation.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
Participates in special projects as required.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related business discipline or the equivalent combination of education, professional training, or work experience.
Professional certification (e.g., CPCM/CFCM) preferred. 5+ years of related contracts management experience. 8-10 years preferred. 5+ years of experience leading a team Advanced knowledge of the practices, procedures, and processes involved in contracts administration.
Skills and Abilities:
Advanced knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, terms, conditions, and policies governing assigned contracts, including commercial contract law, FAR, applicable Agency Supplements, and CAS.
Effective communication skills. Effective management skills.
Strategic thinker and trusted advisor to Business Area leadership Fosters and maintains customer intimacy in Business Area Ability to collaborate with other teams to resolve issues.
Ability to mentor and develop and lead training for others
