This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Process moderately complex to complex modifications to multi-hundred-million dollar contracts based on previous award documentation and direction from government client.
Solicits vendor for new in-scope work through informal/formal Requests for Proposals (RFP). Receives, track progression and send proposals for Technical Evaluations from government client.
Analyzes proposals for compliance, prices and period of performance dates.
Attend weekly meetings with vendor and government client.
Coordinate with budget analysts regarding funding on contracts and task orders.
Maintains communication with government client and management during course of procurement action in order to ensure timely delivery in compliance with the requirements of the government schedule.
Assembles the complete modification package for review and submission to government client.
Post award activities (including, but not limited to) finalization of FPDS, Distribution of award documents, updating conformed contracts and inputting the award file in the official repository for documents.

Education level: Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, business administration or related field, or equivalent number of years of contract experience.
At least 4-6 years of experience in professional procurement, purchasing, contracts, preferably in a government agency, which includes the drafting of complex contracts, including provisions, and solicitation documents. Possession of a directly related post-graduate degree may be substituted for one of the two years of required experience.
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelors degree maybe substituted for required work experience. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both verbally and in writing. He/she must have good computer skills and the ability to learn and implement new programs as assigned.
