GDIT has a future opportunity and is seeking candidates with varying levels of education (BA/BS, MS, PhD, MPH, DVM) and experience to support biological laboratory, bioinformatics, disease surveillance, epidemiological data and analysis, and vaccine research with a prospective client with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.  

 

Laboratory scientists should be familiar with contemporary approaches for molecular, serological, and biochemical analysis of human pathogens and working with in vitro and in vivo models of disease.  Bioinformatics scientist should be familiar with broad analytical methods and approaches, including advanced statistical analyses, to integrate and analyze complex data sets from multiple data streams including laboratory diagnostics, next generation sequencing, surveillance and vaccine development activities.  Epidemiologist should be familiar with broad approaches for analyzing disease outbreak and transmission patterns and contributing broadly to study design, data analysis, and reporting for diagnostics, surveillance, and vaccine efficacy investigations.  Robotics Specialists should be familiar with contemporary systems, their implementation, and customization to support program workflows.  Quality control and quality analysis candidates should be familiar with functions common to reviewing, certifying and auditing methods and data for biological laboratories, including compliance in regulated environments.
