General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) has an immediate requirement for a 

Microsoft Office 365 Solution Architect to add to its cybersecurity team in support of the United States Postal Service. The successful candidate will experience an unparalleled large-scale hybrid-cloud environment with over 200K email accounts exchanging millions of daily email messages in support of a diverse user base spread across the entire US.



The successful candidate will lead the on-prem enterprise exchange server migration to an Azure cloud hosted O365 solution. Candidate will provide architecture, design, implementation, and administration support of a Microsoft Azure based Office 365 environment with primary focus on cybersecurity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Technical architecture and solution creation of the Office 365 platform.
  • Perform analysis of alternatives and ROI analysis for multiple solution options.
  • Architect and design the Office 365 platform with emphasis on network and information security.
  • Research, development, and deployment of Office 365 (O365) solutions, including delivering proof of concepts.
  • Management and Support for Active Directory, Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Azure AD Connect, and related Office 365 technologies.
  • Ensure security, governance, and compliance for the Office 365 platform.
  • Effective collaboration with colleagues and counterparts internally and externally.
  • Recognition of potential, successful, and unsuccessful intrusion attempts and compromises of the Office 365 environment.


Please Note:  We can only accept US citizens and or Green Card Holders.  The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years and not have left the country for more than 180 cumulative days.


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field, and 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with Office 365 architecture and design including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Azure AD, ADFS, OneDrive, etc.
  • Must have hands-on experience working in a large-scale enterprise environment (10s of 1000s of users minimum)
  • Hands-on experience with architecture, design, and implementation of cloud security features, preferably related to O365.
  • Experience with DLP and Virtual Firewall security technologies, preferably related to O365.
  • Experience in Active Directory, DNS and Windows Server administration.
  • Knowledge of changes necessary to maintain performance levels of applications when transitioning from on-premise environments to IaaS public clouds (Azure).
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the cybersecurity domain.
  • Strong communication skills in dealing with various stakeholders (technical and functional).
