Our work depends on a Network Engineer - Monitor joining our team to support JSP-ETM activities in Arlington, VA. Due to the nature and access this role entails, telecommuting is not allowed.

The JRSS Monitor is responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining network devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks. The candidate will work with Shift Manager, Tier I/II Service Desk Technicians, and the cable team to resolve customer impacting network outages, network changes and activation.

  • Install, configure systems to user environments and maintain/monitor communications network devices

  • Provide Tier 3 support to the Network Operations Center (NOC).

  • Support local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN).

  • Analyzes, monitor network topologies, traffic and capacity requirements.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting of routers and switches.

  • May work odd hours to support facility maintenance actions to minimize customer impact.

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CCNA or higher)

  • 5+ years of directly related experience in network administration.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience

  • Hands-on experience with the Network Administration data and voice communications networks

  • Shift work required

  • Able to report full-time onsite as indicated above.


  • Active TS or TS/SCI clearance

  • Computing Environment certification
