At GDIT, people are our differentiator.  As a Technical Writer/Editor supporting the Government, you will be trusted with documenting all Infrastructure Services deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts for the program.

In this role, a typical day may include:

  • Writing and editing technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software to include installation, configuration, how-to documentation, and transition documentation
  • Preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining of technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, and user documentation
  • Providing advice for the development of the process of crafting and refining ideas, cultivating sources, and developing highly complex and articulate articles
  • Collaborating closely with technical teams to deliver appropriate and highly complex content.
  • Identifying and modifying complex contextual errors, reorganizing content, and editing graphics, tables, and illustrations.
  • Producing implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; providing data definition and data flow documentation and formatting technical publications
  • Providing guidance and leadership to less-experienced technical editor personnel


  • Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain and maintain a CI poly.
  • Education:  Bachelor of Science Degree, or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications, training, and work experience.
